ILUX, leading company in innovation in the presentation of the Research and Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) of Galicia
The Xunta de Galicia presented last March 25th the Research and Innovation Smart Specialisation Strategy (RIS3) of Galicia as a guide to become an economy based on innovation in 2020. ILUX, as innovative Galician company took part on this presentation.
RIS3 allows Galicia to obtain European funds between 2014 and 2020 and will guide the transformation of the Galician economy to a production system based on innovation. The document sets out guidelines to mobilize more than 1,600 million euros between public and private capital until 2020.
RIS3 assumes three challenges: promote the modernization of traditional activities of the Galician primary sectors through innovative management of natural and cultural resources; improve the competitiveness of industries with more weight in the Galician economy , including automotive, shipbuilding, textile, food, wood processing and metallurgy; and positioning Galicia as a leading region of southern Europe in innovation for improving the quality of life and for a healthy and safe food, with special attention elderly people.
